Virtual tour in version 2.6

Here comes version 2.6 of WorkSpace3D !!!

This new version allows you by subscribing to the "Virtual tour" option, to make guided tours of your real estate goods or to have your meetings in exotic places by loading panoramic images (QTVR).

The 3D experience is improved in this new version, with some new avatars more realistic and a new design of the applications’ 3D elements. The 3D screens of the applications are now partly transparent, which allows to see the shown content even from behind the application.

From a technical perspective, webcams and sound cards compatibility has been improved. Deployment through proxies is also greatly enhanced.

Tixeo enriches its product line by splitting WorkSpace3D in new offers WorkSpace3D Standard Edition (ASP hosted service with a limited amount of named hosts) and WorkSpace3D Enterprise Edition. New advanced options for WorkSpace3D are also available, like Oracle support as an external database or usage of IBM WebSphere as application server.

Tixeo wins 3 awards at Intr@verse 2008 contest

While the Gartner group publishes a study saying that “By the end of 2011, 80 percent of active Internet users (and Fortune 500 enterprises) will have a ’second life,’ but not necessarily in Second Life,” Tixeo is awarded for its innovation in this field. These awards confirm Tixeo the idea that 3D collaborative virtual environments (3D CVE) are the future of online meetings.

The Intr@verse 2008 contest awards the companies (customers and software editors) for setting up 3D virtual worlds projects. Tixeo received 3 awards :

1st place in category "Project" with BNP Paribas
3rd place in category "Education" with Loughborough University in the UK
3rd place in category "R&D" with Loughborough University in the UK

An excellent 2007 end of year statement

2007, a great year for Tixeo which revenue has been multiplied by 4, and a profit of 60%. Tixeo is proud to count among its clients some organizations like BNP Paribas, Airbus or Sagem. These good results have incited Tixeo to reinvest for 2008 a big part of its profit, which has conduced in early 2008 to a growth of 150% of our manpower. Tixeo stays aware of its clients requests and has launched several new projects based on their ideas which should be released before end of 2008. We once again want to thank all our customers for their confidence.

WorkSpace3D and meeting3D version 2.5

This new release focuses on ease of use and quality of meetings. Here are the main improvements from version 2.0 up to 2.5 :

Ease of use :
- Meeting management system is easier to use.
- Auto calibration of audio and video devices.
- While in a meeting, a new ’Action panel’ allows a quick access to the main features (desktop and application sharing, PowerPoint, white board, file sharing...).
- The new application sharing feature allows to share only one application instead of the whole desktop. Thus other data on your desktop is kept private.

Quality :
- Voice quality and overall Quality of Service (QoS) has been improved. In addition to an automatic adaptation to the network conditions, it also takes care of CPU usage and priorizes voice to ensure a smooth experience.

Deployment :
- A new server architecture allows to manages huge worldwide deployments very easily.
- The client plug-in is even easier to deploy, works without any rights on the computer, supports any recent browser and Microsoft Windows Vista.
- Help content has been improved and is now located on your servers for WorkSpace3D.

WorkSpace3D and meeting3D 2.4 : easy and reliable

With this new release version 2.4 of meeting3D and WorkSpace3D, Tixeo proposes its Windows Vista™ compatible solutions. More than compatibility, WorkSpace3D and meeting3D 2.4 are optimized for Vista and take advantage of the new possibilities of this system.

Here are the other main improvements :

Desktop and application sharing user interface have been redesigned to be easier to use and to maximize the place of shown information.
"Lead the attendees" with a single click. All participants will see the documents you show until another presenter (WorkSpace3D only) takes the lead, or that you disable this option.
When you leave the meeting room, WorkSpace3D proposes you to copy all the shared files to your hard disk.
WorkSpace3D license owners will be happy to learn that administration features have been improved :
- You can choose where the plug-in is downloaded from, which is by default on your server.
- Three new 3D environments to discover.

New release version 2.3

Version 2.3 of meeting3D and WorkSpace3D has been released :

Both products benefit of major improvements on audio conferencing quality. Strategies like sharp analysis of your network and improvement of the sound environment have been developed in order to give you the feeling of really being in presence of your interlocutors when meeting in WorkSpace3D and meeting3D.
Lips movements and word said by your interlocutors are synchronized even better.
The quality of service is now linked to your CPU usage, allowing to have reliable commmunication conditions even on an old PC.
WorkSpace3D is enriched with an application sharing feature. It allows to share applications or documents confidentially. You can, for instance, share a spreadsheet while reading your private emails. For best user-friendliness, the shared application is completely integrated in WorkSpace3D’s interface. Positioning of videos and shared documents is thus optimized. Note : This feature is only available in WorkSpace3D.

Keep the quality and original colors of your documents and applications during a desktop or application sharing. This is very appreciated for work situations on graphics for which the quality is an important matter, like : CG teamwork, codiagnostic of radiography for doctors or marketing meetings on new communication graphics...

Meeting management system has been simplified :
- Manually joining a meeting is easier,
- Timezone selection for a participant has been redesigned and is more user-friendly,
- Any participant can easily change its preferences (password, timezone, name...).

New release version 2.2

Happy new year ! Tixeo is proud to present you the first 2007 release of WorkSpace3D and meeting3D, version 2.2 !

This version confirms Tixeo’s strategy : provide high quality and reliable tools.

Many improvements have been done. Here are some of them :

Data generated by collaborative applications (Desktop sharing, PowerPoint Slides...) doesn’t affect audio conference quality anymore.
Meeting organization now automatically manages timezones conversion. No need to convert from GMT anymore ! When your Chinese partner invites you to a meeting, the schedule in the invitation email that you receive is shown according to your timezone.
An always more user-friendly workspace :
- A control panel with easy access to main actions has been added. Animating a web conference becomes so easy that even a kid could do it !
- 3D meetings now have tabs making navigation in the virtual meeting room easier. Going from an application to another in 3D is as easy as in 2D. Indeed, application’s tabs are always visible with any chosen meeting mode.

You are more an more using WorkSpace3D and meeting3D, we thus have set up a server "pooling" system to ensure best quality of service and optimize hardware resource on our servers. This system is also very useful for companies wanting a large scale deployment.

New release version 2.1

A new version 2.1 of meeting3D and WorkSpace3D has been released. Major improvements have been made to increase ease of use and quality :

Join meetings faster. Plus, most microphone and webcam setup is now automatic !
Role management is easier to access and understand. This makes it easier for participants to request rights during meetings.
Mouse management improved during a desktop sharing.
WorkSpace3D and meeting3D are now easily accessible from www.tixeo.com.
Several optimizations have been performed on the core of the system, enhancing quality overall.

WorkSpace3D and meeting3D v.2 !

After many month of intensive work, Tixeo is pleased to annouce the release of WorkSpace3D and meeting3D v.2. Lots of new features suggested by user feedback are included in this new version. Here are the main changes :

Keep better control of your meetings : You can now easily manage training sessions or conferences with many participants.
- Each participant has a different role in the meeting (presenter or attendee).
- The presenter has total control of the meeting, directing other participants on applications or documents they want to present.
- There’s improved control over who can send audio/video, share desktops, or use any application...

Audio and video quality adapts to your Internet connection, ensuring you the best quality for your available resources. This new bandwidth management will allow for the best quality available always, improving as your Internet connection improves.
A network indicator shows you your bandwidth usage, allowing you to know at any moment how other participants see you.
Invite people to your meetings in their own language. Currently english and french are available.
Because business is international, we’re offering a new language : Chinese. Develop some new relationship with China !
The user guide has been rewritten for easier understanding. Try the F1 key !
For quicker meetings, you can save time by installing the plugin before the meeting starts.
The 3D viewer has been enhanced, with the ability to rescale and rotate objects you are showing on several axes.
