Tixeo chooses Google's VP8 for HD web conferencing

Past February, Google acquired On2 Technologies and its famous VP8 codec, and released the sources only three weeks ago, providing a true free alternative to H.264. Many industry leaders such as Mozilla, Logitech and Nvidia, have since announced they would soon support this codec, making it the future standard of Internet video.
Tixeo also goes VP8 for it's solution WorkSpace3D, becoming the first video / web conferencing provider to integrate this codec. This choice leads to higher performances than H.264, in terms of video quality and bandwidth usage for video conferencing purpose.

After several months of intensive developments, Tixeo releases a new major version of WorkSpace3D: WorkSpace3D 3.0. This brand new version brings effortless HD web conferencing, as it works seamlessly with any firewall and proxy. Besides, it doesn't require any high up-front investments as companies can use regular desktops, HD webcams and microphones to have a great experience.

This is leading to the imminent realease of it's version 3.0 (early february 2010), but also to an update of our offer for 2010.

Indeed, to match as best as possible our customers needs and expectations, Tixeo services are refocused on the WorkSpace3D product line. WorkSpace3D has now three different editions, from the most affordable to the most complete, respectively named WorkSpace3D Standard, WorkSpace3D Professional and WorkSpace3D Enterprise. Some discounted conversion plans will be offered to our meeting3D customers by the end of their commitment.
