Renaud Ghia, Tixeo CEO talks to Europe 1

Renaud Ghia, Tixeo CEO, was invited by Raphaëlle Duchemin in Europe 1 to talk about videoconferencing and teleworking during strikes. During this exchange he presents a new way of thinking and organizing telework thanks to Tixeo innovations.

Since December 5th, beginning of the strike movement, many companies have resorted to telework for employees who cannot travel, or with great difficulty. Under what conditions should they use it? The secure Tixeo solution offers solutions to “reproduce social interactions” even from home. “We push video collaboration to its extreme”, says its co-founder, Renaud Ghia at Europe1. For example, you can “see your collaborators in the form of video bubbles, without sound, and on which you can click to interact”, thus reducing loneliness, a drawback often blamed on telecommuting.

“Widespread telecommuting could empty entire neighborhoods like La Defense.”

Today, 1.8 million employees are concerned by teleworking, but no less than 60% would like to try this practice.

“This allows productivity gains, but also to regain time for social link”, Renaud Ghia says. According to him, “generalized telecommuting could revolutionize society and empty whole districts like La Défense”.
