How to add a new contact in Tixeo?
Contacts allow you to quickly communicate with your favorite correspondents. Each contact is added to your Tixeo directory.
There are several ways to add a contact:
Meeting Invitation
As soon as you add a new email address to the participants list, a contact request is automatically sent via the application.
Add from the TixeoCommunicationClient Application
- Open the left-hand side menu
- In the Contacts menu, click ➕
- Enter your contact’s email address
Accept a Contact Request
If another user adds you to their contacts, you will receive a notification in the application to accept their request.
When both contacts are present in each other’s directories, each can see the other’s status in the application.

How to search for a contact in Tixeo?
The contact search feature allows you to quickly find a correspondent in your Tixeo directory.
Log in to the TixeoCommunicationClient application.
- Open the left-hand side menu.
- Go to the “Contacts” menu.
- Use the search field to enter the contact’s name or email address.
- The contact will automatically appear if it exists in your directory.
💡 Tip: The search works using the contact’s first name, last name, or email address.

How to add a favorite contact?
In the “Contacts” menu of the TixeoCommunicationClient application:
- Search for your contact in the list or by using the search field.
- Click the star icon ⭐ on the right of the contact to add it to your favorites.
💡 Information : If a shortcut slot is available on the application’s home page, the new favorite contact will automatically be added to the shortcuts list.

How to send a message to a contact?
Tixeo V18 includes instant messaging to communicate with your contacts outside of meetings.
Steps:
- Click on Contacts in the left sidebar.
- In the list, click on the contact you want to message.
- The contact card opens. Click on the Discussions icon (the two speech bubbles).
- Click in the message input field at the bottom of the window.
- Type your message and press Enter (or click the send button ➤) to send it.
The full history of your exchanges with this contact is visible in this tab.
Tip: You can also access a favorite contact’s conversation directly from the home screen central panel, by hovering over their avatar and clicking the message icon.

How to format a message (bold, italic, underline)?
When writing a message in Tixeo V18, a formatting toolbar is available below the message input area.
Available formatting options:
Button Effect Keyboard shortcut B Bold Ctrl + B I Italic Ctrl + I U Underline Ctrl + U To apply formatting:
- Either activate the format before typing (click B, I, or U, then write your text).
- Or select text you have already written and then click the desired formatting button.

How to send an emoji or attachment in a conversation?
The message input area in Tixeo V18 lets you enrich your conversations with emojis and attached files.
Sending an emoji:
- Open a conversation (from Contacts > Discussions tab, or from Messages).
- Click the 😊 (smiley) icon in the toolbar below the message input area.
- Browse the available emojis and click the one you want to insert.
- The emoji appears in your message. Send it as usual.
Sending an attachment:
- In the same toolbar, click the paperclip icon.
- Select the file to send from your computer.
- The file is attached to your message. Press Enter or click ➤ to send.

What is a TixeoWorkSpace and how to join one?
A TixeoWorkSpace is a permanent collaborative workspace. Unlike a one-time meeting, a Workspace is a continuously open space where a team can gather at any time.
A Workspace brings together several features:
- Instant messaging — to communicate in real time with members
- File management — to share and store documents together
- Virtual open space — to join a permanent audio/video session with your team
How to join a Workspace:
- Click on Workspaces in the left sidebar.
- The list of Workspaces you have access to is displayed, with the number of members and active participants.
- Click on the desired Workspace to enter it.
You can also quickly access your most-used Workspaces from the home screen central panel (Frequent workspaces).

How to create a new Workspace?
You can create a new Workspace from the dedicated section of the application.
- Click on Workspaces in the left sidebar.
- Click the + button at the top right of the Workspaces list.
- Fill in the required information (Workspace name, members to invite, etc.).
- Confirm the creation.
The new Workspace immediately appears in your list and in the Frequent workspaces panel on the home screen.
The ability to create Workspaces may depend on the permissions granted by your Tixeo administrator.
